Grace?

I haven’t said much about the American election, and in fact, this is courtesy of my wife, who said yesterday evening watching John McCain’s concession speech: I wish Canada had such a MAN, such a graceful loser, and not such a grovelling, whining little boy for an opposition leader.

Congratulations, Mr. Obama. I hope you can bring the American people together and help bring an end to the racial divide that has plagued your country for centuries.

I agree with your wife.
While flipping through American channels, I could find no one like Craig Oliver. Whose triade on CTV protrayed him as a disgrace and very disrespectful on election night.

I have never liked Craig Oliver. He always sounded very biased to me when the Libs were in power and the Cons were in opposition. It was the same with Peter Tura (who is now on Global Winnipeg), he used to do the Hill reports on The New RO. He also was very biased towards the Libs.

This is true. The loser in our election behaved like a real “loser”. I would hope that Harper would have had more class had he been in Dion’s shoes. I am sure that McCain could have made excuses as to why he lost…a faltering economy, unfair ads etc.
