Just wondering if any liberals out there are so upset over Harper appointing conservative senators. Perhaps when they get finished venting here they could spare some of that vitriol for their liberal senators that refused to pass Harpers senate reform.

The Fiberals among us should note that PMSH filling seats is nothing new and nothing of real note. Chretien appointed 36 Liberal hacks to the Senate while he was in power. How many Libs vowed to step aside if Senate elections were to be a reality? ZERO. Harper has many times stated that the Liberal dominated Senate would keep him in check (wonder how it became liberal dominated?)

When Libs do it, it’s all for democracy. When a Conservative does it, it’s a travesty. All they are really mad at is that they won’t have a chance to complete the stacking with more Liberal hacks, Separatists and Elizabeth May. Asshats…

What does the smell of the dairy barn have to do with the price of rice in China? Talk about gobbledygook. Does he think people in rural Canada (anyplace that is not downtown Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver) all live to muck out the barn? My goodness, talk about condescending arrogance. He should know that people in the ROC can spot a phoney a mile away and describe him with an appropriate farmyard term. Too bad Liberals wear blinkers (that’s a horse term) and are too blind to see that the biggest brain in the room is not the philosopher king they have been praying for.

Ah those Libs – verbose, eloquent kings of the double talk. If they complain about Harper using it, they should turn the mirror inwards to see where one would learn the preferred doublespeak.

At least Iggy knows the west is the new strength of Canada. However, sticking his nose up our asses will do little to woo voters here. This is Harper country.

You left something out…PMSH also said, the appointed senators, will be sworn to step down, when senate reform takes effect, and senators are elected.

This makes a BIG difference. PMSH is protecting Canadians from Liberals putting the Green and Block into senate seats.

Makes sense to the voters who elected PMSH.

And Albertan, I am surprised any Liberal would bring up anything given the “breaking news” about the Libs using EI to pay down the debt, with no vote from parliament, and then claim that they built up a surplus.

Speaking of entitlements – I am “entitled” to my money back.

so now, in this current economic crisis, the Liberals have created a mess.

I guess they felt entitled to do whatever they damned, well pleased, didn’t they Albertan.

Try telling us again how the Libs were such good fiscal managers and had built up a huge surplus???

And I am surprised you would bring up “stacking the senate” when clearly the largest number of senators are Liberals (59) with only 21 being conservative. Who has stacked the senate so far, I wonder?
