That’s funny, I don’t recall seeing “Libs/NDP/Bloc Coalition” on the ballot the last time I voted.

I don’t know what is scarier: Dion as PM, Jack in cabinet, Gilles holding the balance of power or Miss May being Environment Minister.

Dion isn’t PM material… he’s not even party leader material. Jack wouldn’t know an economic measure if it jumped up and bit him in the ass, Gilles is happy to break up the country, and May is just a looney-toon, who once said she, as environment minister, would close all coal and nuclear plants immediately, effectively shutting down 72% of Ontario’s power output.

How can we have the four most inept people in the country running the show? I mean, for PM, I can’t come up with another person in Canada who would be worse, with the possible exceptions of Layton, Duceppe and May. For the environment: we can’t go to international conferences with a loud-mouth crazy person. For Layton, this guy has absolutely no idea how to run anything, let alone a country. And Gilles is making every separatist in the country very happy, he said so, and Quebec’s separatist leader said so.

People of Canada, we can’t let this happen. We must protest and help the legitimate government of this country stave off this ridiculous travesty of democracy. No matter how you feel about Harper, if you’re a liberal, you didn’t vote for Layton, May or Duceppe. If you’re an NDP-er, you didn’t vote for Dion, Duceppe or May. This county will go down the tubes with these four crazies at the helm.

And most of all, nobody outside of Quebec voted for Bloc Separatists, yet the rest of Canada will have to follow them for 18 months. Are you prepared to have the Bloc rule you for the next year and a half? We already have “The majority of Canadians, and Quebecors” in the open letter from the Separatist Coalition. The unity is already unravelling, and we haven’t even started yet.

This is the NEW Democratic principle:

Setting: your office. Votes are being taken on where to have the christmas party. There are 10 people in the office. Voting is for: 1) the office, 2) the casino or 3) party room at the theatre. Four people vote for the office, three for the casino, and the other three for the theatre.

Easy democratic principle, right? Majority wins? So where did they go? Right, to the Casino/Theatre, because 6 is more than 4.

We are rewriting the rules of democracy here, folks.

UPDATE: Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Scissors beats paper, right? Wrong! Rock and paper have 66% of the vote–they win.

I don’t know which one of these characters is the scariest – however, the three of them together plus Miss May are a bloody nightmare.Do people not understand the consequences of having the Bloc separatists in power? Last night M. Duceppe claimed that this deal was good for Quebecers and good for sovereignty. Check out the definition of sovereignty — it’s main concept is absoluteness – with unlimited rights to control activities. We, the people of Canada are willing to go along with the Bloc, whose main objective is soverignty of Quebec, as a governing party? This is absolutely nuts. Still to this day I ponder why the Bloc was even allowed to exists as a national party — it is NOT national – it is only for one province.
This is scary, scary stuff indeed.

That’s funny, I don’t recall getting a ballot for Prime Minister. I’d best call Elections Canada. Or ask a 12 year old elementary school student how Canadian democracy works.

Actually Erwin – I did see that ballot.

But since it was written in crayon and sitting next to the stack of 3 dollar bills I ignored it and used a real ballot instead.

John D: seems like you put your right to exercise democracy over handing over the country to a bunch of separatists. “Greater Good” is a concept the left obviously does not believe in.

I also don’t remember only 1 left-wing leader at the debates (there were 4), 1 left-wing policy platform (there were 4), 1 left-wing campaign fund (there were 4), 1 left-wing name on the ballet (there were 3 (4 in Quebec).

Someone should tell the lefties you can’t have it both ways.

Here is something to mull over. Take care!

Gene, why don’t you read my post before you state the obvious. Of course the coalition is legal and constitutional. I have said as much. It is just saddening that the left is willing to sell their soul to Separatists to make their point. If that is what I would have to do, I would gladly forgo my point: I’ d say: you win, and I’ll sleep tonight.

That’s funny, I don’t recall getting a ballot for the right-winger Stephen Harper.

In the last elections the overwhelming majority of Canadians support the parties that are going to take part in this so-called “separatist” coalition.

Let our MPs vote and get on with it.

Rick, only 10% supported the Bloc. 26% the Liberals, and only 23% the NDP. There was no combined party, no combined vote, so you cannot combine the individual results. Following your logic, in the past 100% of elections, all parties received 100% of the votes, so all parties must govern at all times. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
